The State of New Jersey's incentive programs are currently active, with the fiscal year ending on June 30, 2026. As a regular component of our Programs, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities evaluates its programs and may make updates to better serve the public. Some program details and documents may change. Sign up for our email list to get notified of any changes and check our website for updates.

Applying is easy! Follow the simple steps below to apply for an incentive of up to $5,000.

Find an eligible dealer.

Select an eligible vehicle.

Apply for the incentive at the point of sale with your dealer.

 

Your dealer will submit the application on your behalf and the incentive will instantly be applied to the cost of your new vehicle. View additional eligibility guidelines.

Electric Vehicle Incentive Amounts

You may apply for an incentive of up to $5,000.

The total incentive amount for an eligible vehicle equals $25 per mile of EPA-rated all-electric range, as determined by fueleconomy.gov. Vehicles with an electric range of 200 or more miles are eligible for the maximum incentive of $5,000.
